All stories in the partner program are monetized, that said, it's nothing significant (to my point-it's a nice bonus, not an income stream). In my opinion, the best part of the partner program is the fact that it does cost the reader money, and thus, you tend to filter out a lot of awful/angry people that leave ridiculous comments. Anything that is "free" tends to draw in a very interesting crowd.
