Hey Frank; I get that it's difficult to read an article that doesn't align with your experience, even though your experience might be the exception, not the rule. I think it's important to have these conversations before you get married (roles/responsibilities). They are hard conversations, but so important. My other key learning from dating is-when people show you who they are, you should believe them. There are usually red flags in the dating phase that many of us ignore. Most people do not go from being attentive and willing to share responsibilities-all the way to being disconnected, avoidant, and unwilling to help within the household. Basically-your ex-wife was more than likely always had these traits, and this is to the stuff to really vet out before getting married. Hoping things are better for you moving forward.
