How To Get a Job You Aren’t Qualified For
Tips from someone who just jumped gigs!
Hey hey! Long time, no talk!
It’s been a bit crazy around here — I jumped jobs (I’m still in tech, but moved into the Federal space to work with the US Government)!
In parallel, I’ve been trying to prioritize my health, not work myself into the ground, and spend more time cultivating relationships with the people around me.
I’ve also had to make some pretty nasty cuts friend-wise.
The saying that goes something like, “Most people aren’t your friends…they’re just along for the ride” is SO true.
Anyways, that’s neither here nor there.
The past couple of months in looking for a new role, interviewing, etc. have been intense, but I’m so glad I went through the experience — I learned a ton, and I’m hoping that my own experience can help someone who’s in a similar boat make some moves in their career!
