I think much of it depends on the role and the company culture. I'm in the telecom business, and we sell "work from anywhere" technology. That being said, we have managers, directors, and VP's working remotely from home. In addition, I'm in sales, and we are tied to a goal/it's very performance-driven, so location isn't super important. Maybe finding a role in sales could be beneficial if you're looking for a way to increase your pay! That's awesome though that you get a pension!
