The past three years have been a wild ride (to say the least).

Right before the pandemic, I decided to take a leap of faith and move from San Jose, California to Austin, Texas.

I didn’t have any family or friends, but I was about to take on an incredible opportunity.

For years, I knew that I was in the wrong field.

I craved self-development, challenge, the opportunity to work externally with customers, and the ability to move away from my company’s headquarters.

I deeply desired to work in sales.

Back in 2019, I was working in supply chain management at a giant tech company, and they had pretty strict rules about living close to HQ, even though our company sells telecommunications software and hardware to enable remote work (go figure)!

Meaningless rules + being underutilized and unchallenged were pretty much a recipe for being unhappy long-term.
