Ah, the good ole’ undergrad debt…or even worse — six-figure graduate school loans.

Isn’t it fun being an adult?

You go through decades of school to become a productive, tax-paying member of society, only to be burdened with bills and student debt.

On top of worrying about monthly bills, you now have the pleasure of planning your retirement, because let’s be honest — social security isn’t much to write home about.

The key to investing successfully is giving your money enough time to work for you, which means you want to start buying basic indexes as soon as possible so that you have many decades of runway to experience enough compounding interest to retire comfortably.

That said, before we start buying a bunch of indexes fresh out of college, there are a few considerations that we need to account for if we have student debt to pay off.
