Thank you! I’m not really following on the “power couple” aspect…most people have two-income households, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t there for their kids…some industries like tech are super flexible; my colleagues work when their kids are in school & in bed. One of them joked, “my kids don’t even know I have a job because I drop them off, pick them up, and have dinner with them.” Personally, as someone whose dad wasn’t present…I really can’t get on board with men being away from home working like crazy, while mom is at home. Dad’s are so important, especially to a little girl, IMO. Personally, I’d rather be a 2-income household in flexible industries & work when my kids aren’t around and are in school, vs. my husband never seeing our kids. Medicine is similar in that you can flex your hours so that both parents are around. That’s always my advice to people that want kiddos..pick flexible & in-demand industries so you both can make plenty of money and see your kids!
