That's awesome JD! Yes, totally agree that it's an emotional decision; I just want folks to re-frame their thinking and view a primary residence as a luxury, not an investment. Nothing wrong with buying a primary residence, but I saw very frequently early on in my career in Silicon Valley people talking about all of the "equity" in their homes without factoring in what it cost to build the "equity", not to mention that they'd need to sell the house and move to say, Kansas to take advantage of the profits (which nobody wants to do)!
